sorry I'm a fatty.

Scratch that. Sorry that I'M NOT sorry I'm a fatty. Once again, I will be gushing over how wonderful my crock pot is. I bought my first crock pot right before I started college, and it was a teeny tiny little thing. I think it served like 2-3 people. Besides that, I had no idea how to work it. So, it gathered dust in my closet (and shame on me for not using it in my college apartment, boo!) until after our wedding. Last fall, I finally figured out the point of a crock pot, and began stuffing meals in there for the mister and I.

...and then it happened. My wonderful, beautiful, thoughtful mother bought me a GROWN-UP SIZED crock pot. HOLLA!

Sorry I'm not sorry for saying "holla".

At this very moment, my Grown-Up Crock Pot is home to cheesy chicken and rice (with broccoli):

Cheesy Chicken and Rice with Broccoli

  • 4-6 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups of rice (I used brown)
  • 2 cups water
  • shredded cheese (I used half a bag of a Mexican blend)
  • 2 cups of frozen broccoli
Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Last night, I had a hankering for something pumpkin-related. I pulled up this Pumpkin Fro-Yo recipe on Pinterest, and I was not disappointed. I hope you aren't, either! It's super easy to make, and I am dying to try it with some graham crackers for a pumpkin pie-esque taste!

The best thing about it was that I used the leftover yogurt and pumpkin to make some homemade PUPSICLES! I just blended the rest together, poured it in ice cube trays, and this morning my pups had some delicious snacks before I went to work! They can't get enough of anything with pumpkin or peanut butter!
